PixInsight 1.8 - E3DDY Full Version

PixInsight 1.8 - E3DDY full version

PixInsight is a powerful and versatile software for astronomical image processing. It is designed to handle complex workflows and large data sets, as well as to provide high-quality results and advanced tools for astrophotographers and researchers. PixInsight is developed by Pleiades Astrophoto, a Spanish company founded by Juan Conejero, a professional software engineer and amateur astronomer.

PixInsight is available for Linux, macOS and Windows platforms, and it can be downloaded from the official website. PixInsight is a commercial software, but it offers a free trial version for 45 days. The trial version has the same features and functionality as the full version, except that it does not allow saving or exporting images. To use the full version of PixInsight, users need to purchase a license from Pleiades Astrophoto. The license is valid for all platforms and includes free updates for life.

The latest version of PixInsight is 1.8.8-7, which was released on July 23, 2023. This version includes bug fixes, new features and stability improvements for all platforms. Some of the new features are:

  • A new tool called E3DDY, which stands for Enhanced 3D Deconvolution. This tool is based on the Richardson-Lucy algorithm, but it incorporates several enhancements to improve the quality and speed of deconvolution. E3DDY can handle images with high dynamic range, noise and artifacts, and it can also apply adaptive regularization and multiscale processing. E3DDY is especially useful for restoring the fine details of deep-sky objects, such as galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.

  • A new module called StarNet, which allows users to remove stars from an image in a fast and effective way. StarNet uses a deep neural network trained on thousands of images to detect and mask stars of different sizes and brightnesses. StarNet can be used to create starless versions of images, which can be useful for enhancing the background structures or for combining images with different star fields.

  • A new script called PhotometricColorCalibration, which performs an automatic color calibration of an image based on the photometric data of the stars in the image. PhotometricColorCalibration uses the online service of [Astrometry.net] to solve the astrometric coordinates of the image, and then queries the [VizieR] database to obtain the color indices of the stars in the image. PhotometricColorCalibration then applies a linear transformation to adjust the color balance of the image according to the reference data.

PixInsight 1.8 - E3DDY full version is a great software for anyone who wants to process astronomical images with high quality and efficiency. PixInsight offers a wide range of tools and modules that cover all aspects of image processing, from calibration and alignment to noise reduction and enhancement. PixInsight also supports scripting and batch processing, which allows users to automate and customize their workflows. PixInsight is constantly updated with new features and improvements, thanks to the feedback and collaboration of its active user community.
